Junya Umeno, Managing Director, is Head of Trading, Lending & Liquidity in Japan within BlackRock’s Global Trading & Global Lending & Liquidity Group. He is responsible for coordinating the trading, transition management, securities lending and cash management activities in Japan.
Mr. Umeno’s service with the firm dates back to 2006, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Prior to his current role, Mr. Umeno was the head of trading in Tokyo. Earlier, he spent several years as a senior trader at Franklin Templeton Investments.
Mr. Umeno earned a BA in Economics from Kobe University in 1996 and an MBA in Finance from Waseda University in 2006.

Takeki Yamada joined Flow Traders in 2017. As an institutional trader based in Singapore office, he provides OTC liquidity to institutions across Asia with primary focus in Japan. As one of the largest global liquidity provider in ETPs, they cover products globally among all asset classes.
Prior to this, he worked at Nomura Securities in Tokyo and London as an equity sales trader covering Japanese and global investors.

Mr. Kei Okazaki

He is responsible for the planning of the secondary trading for the TSE ETF market, designing and launching the market making scheme and RFQ platform (CONNEQTOR) to improve the liquidity of ETFs. He joined Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2007. After working on monitoring of derivative products, system development, and sales for overseas investors, he has been in his current position since 2013.

Masaki Mita is the President of Argus Media Japan, a post he assumed in July 2021 after having served as the Head of Japan for 19 years, driving the company’s robust growth during that period. He is now focused on building and maintaining relationships with relevant entities in Japan for Argus, as well as advising the company on business strategy. He has more than two decades of experience in price reporting, market analysis, and consulting on a variety of energy commodity markets, for both private companies and government bodies. Before joining Argus Media, Masaki worked for US price reporting agency Platts as a market analyst specializing in LPG trade between Asian importers and Middle Eastern exporters. Masaki earned a BA in Economics from Aoyama Gakuin University in 1994.

Masahiro joined Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (TOCOM) in 2013. Before joining TOCOM, he worked at Mitsubishi Bank and Tokyo Grain Exchange.
He has more than twenty years of work experience in the commodity futures and options market and is an expert in the area of contract design and commodity risk management. He led a product development team to conduct intensive economic research and launched a wide range of commodities from agricultural products to precious metals and energy products (rice futures, coffee futures, Non-GMO soybean futures, Gold Rolling Spot Futures, Gold Options, and Electricity Futures).
Masahiro received a Master of Science degree from University of London (now known as Imperial College London).

Mr. Shoichiro Ishibashi

Prior to joining Citadel Securities, Mr. Finney worked at Fidelity International for 11 years, most recently as Head of Global Systematic Trading, overseeing the firm’s low-touch and algorithmic trading development.

Eiji Kobayashi is Country Head of Securitize Japan K.K., the leading global platform for issuing digital securities. Eiji started his investment banking career on Wall Street, working for firms including Merril Lynch Capital Markets and Goldman Sachs. In Tokyo, he worked at Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank. He then took leadership roles at American Express, Mastercard, Western Union and a German insurtech company, before joining Securitize in February 2020.  Eiji has an A.B. degree in Mathematical Economics from Brown University and M.B.A from the University of Chicago.
