One of the most important challenges of the 21st Century for the financial industry will be the development of reliable financial planning systems, combining the management and control methods offered by information technology and the human expertise of financial planners, to help investors carry out the task of effective asset allocation.

For this objective, the Japanese industry will introduce a new legislative initiative to allow broker-dealers and banks to organize independent financial planners and advisors, and to further deregulate the separately managed accounts or wrap accounts business.  In response to its implementation starting April 1st, 2004, the financial planning industry will be developing new wealth management systems and tools, supported by STP-enabled middle and back-offices of the prime brokers and banks, as well as the newly developed clearing and settlement infrastructure.

In this Seminar, we plan to bring together the buy-side and the sell-side of the new challenge, the dealer-brokers with the financial advisors, and to present the state-of-the art of information technology solutions vendors including systems infrastructure, systems integrations, middle and back office systems, as well as best-of-breed software packages.

We look forward to your active participation in our “ New Challenges of STP” Seminar.
