This conference has been held annually since 1998 with the purpose of gathering domestic and foreign opinion leaders from the political and economic worlds for a series of advance discussions on the developments/opportunities in the Japanese asset management industry. The attendance at the past three conferences has exceeded 500 delegates. This year will focus on the dramatic changes occurring in corporate and individual pension sectors following passage in the Diet of new DB and DC pension laws. The speakers and panelists will include industry experts from corporations, labor unions, pension funds, asset managers, and governmental authorities. They will discuss the anticipated rejuvenation of the Japanese pension sector and review how Japanese corporations are dealing with accumulating pension liabilities resulting from Japan's sluggish economy. This conference provides a unique opportunity for responsible officers to obtain information on the most recent developments in the pension/mutual fund markets, and to learn how their counterparts in other institutions are meeting the emerging challenges in the sector. In addition, special complimentary invitations will be sent to the leading pension funds/plan sponsors to insure the audience is truly representative of all major players involved. Please join us for what should be a lively discussion of the issues on this 4th anniversary of the conference!
